03/10/2010 - Governor Pawlenty’s proposed reductions and fund shifts for the state’s 2010 and 2011 budgets run afoul of what voters approved at the polls in November 2008, Conservation Minnesota reported today.

10/21/2009 - A little fish found in the Cedar River watershed over the summer is big news for the state’s pollution control agency. Its presence is seen as a sign of improving water quality.

09/29/2009 - Minnesota now has three environmental literacy report cards that tell us much about how citizens think and feel about our natural resources. Completed in 2002, 2004 and 2008, the reports are a snapshot of public opinion, issue knowledge and self-reported conservation action.

Conservation Minnesota asked one of the principal authors of the 2008 report, Dr. Tony Murphy, to provide insight.

Five entities have been awarded $175,769 in 2009 environmental assistance grants by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA).

The recipients are the Urban Land Institute, Rahm Tek of Truman, the city of Silver Bay, the Center for Energy and Environment of Minneapolis and the Southeast Como Improvement Association of Minneapolis.
